Ebook About "Starting today, I will formally become the king of this Kingdom of Friedonia."Having returned from the Union of Eastern Nations and rested awhile, the ceremony that will turn Souma from a provisional king to the true king is rapidly approaching. Because Souma's marriage to his fiancées is to be held on the same day, the capital gets more lively than ever!Meanwhile, using his own marriage as an impetus, Souma encourages his retainers to get married, too. Those who are already engaged to be married, those who aren't ready to be husband and wife yet, those who haven't even recognized their own love—Souma shows concern for all his retainers' different circumstances...The revolutionary administrative fantasy series, volume ten!Book How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom: Volume 10 Review :
I know the author is Japanese and does not read this (and even if he did, he would not care less, because it's all written for a different audience in the first place). But YOU are reading this. So, fair warning. This is the book where the story crashes. As far as isekai stories go, this one was always something to look forward to. Get to a backwater world and start making life better, one solution at a time. The story got the cycle of conceptualize-research-design-implement down pat. It got good at it.Then this book happened, and innovation stopped. All those pages, wasted on pointless things like marriage (yeah, isekais tend to go the harem way, but still, this was not the point of the story), feelings, social awkwardness (didn't we as a species generally graduate from that), getting embarrassed over sex.I could rage on, but I'll stop waisting your time. Skip this book, you'll lose nothing. I have originally read this on J-novel club website (they release chapter by chapter every 1-2 weeks). Souma returns with Naden, but then proceeds to the ice region of the Republic of Turgis. Most of the people here are beastfolk (polar bear, walrus, snow fox, snow rabbit, etc.). Souma has heard of a particular skill the region specializes in and wants to see for himself how to utilize it for his kingdom.Overall: It's a good book. It doesn't really address the "cube" or the demon invasion, but it does address a very important aspect of ruling and political maneuvering to trap a particular opponent. Aisha and Naden have their own mini-story, Hal and Ruby also have theirs, and a new character suddenly appears (he is a likable dumb@$$ btw). I still think volume 6 is better than this, but it is a good addition to the series.Personal thoughts ***SPOILERS***:-Leporina (bunny girl) loves cherry wine, but gets drunk very easily. This cannot be good (for her), but I'll enjoy reading the aftermath!-Kuu loves playing the idiot, but he is extremely insightful and aware of his country (strengths and weaknesses). Definitely a character that will grow and adapt later in the series, and I love it.-I like Tomoe, but sometimes she doesn't have enough common sense to survive. I'm just glad Inugami is there to set her straight.-I really love Souma's moment with Aisha and Naden. He says that he wants them to be happy when he and the rest are gone. Also to look after their children. It's a really sweet moment.-I love that Naden is eventually worshiped as a weather woman from the farms and fishers. She is becoming a goddess in her own world when she was ignored as a "flightless worm" on the mountain.-Souma does have moments with all of his fiances, and each of them are sweet (minus Lischia for good reason...)-Lischia is PREGNANT! I am happy for this couple. Plus she given Souma permission to fool around with the rest.-Poncho (a God of Food now...) adds another to his harem. I like both of them. Strong women characters are needed.
